VCSU Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to use Technology
| In 2000, the VCSU Teacher Education program was awarded a Preparing Tomorrows Teachers to use Technology (PT3) grant. PT3 is a grant program of the US Department of Education. The federal government is contributing $390,699 or 46%. VCSU and its partners are contributing $450,957 or 54%. The three main goals of the grant are: Goal One Elementary Education graduates will meet NET standards and demonstrate the appropriate use of technology in authentic settings. Goal Two Create a learning community among the partnership for the purpose of improving learning and developing complex reasoning and problem solving skills. Goal Three Each Elementary Education graduate will be able to use technology to help their future students improve learning by developing complex reasoning and problem solving skills. |
